Curtains on a Yacht are extremely important. They ensure intimacy for passengers, protect against excessive sun, but also perform an important Decorative function.
Every Yacht, small or large, is a symbol of Luxury. That is why it is important to choose the right Curtains, appropriate Fabrics, patterns, colors and Styles as they will be sown and pinned up.

Modern yacht

In the interior of Modern Yachts we often use the Wave Style, the simple arrangement of the Fabric, where the Fabric creates a delicate Wave, it works perfectly for all soft Fabrics. Light, noble Fabrics such as Linen, Wool, Silk, Velvet work best here.

Classical yachts

Classic Yachts in a Traditional Style require replacement of the Curtains after many years od use. Such Curtains must match the Style of the Interior of the Yacht. Head of New Curtains must be sewn as Goblet Curtains, Double Pinch Pleat Curtains or even Triple Pinch Pleat Curtains. We will use classic Fabrics, such as patterned Jacquard, Velvet or embroidered Silks. Often, the Curtains have special Fringes sewn on. Curtains must be pin up with beautiful Tassels or Curtain Cords.
Regardless of the Style, the Curtains on the Yacht are lined with a special lining. The lining protects the Fabric from the damaging effects of strong sun and also adds volume, making the entire Curtain look much more elegant.
In the Cabins of the Yacht, especially in the Master Cabin, and the Guest Cabin, the Curtains are lined with a lining made of Blackout Fabric - this is necessary to ensure complete intimacy during the night into the Cabins, and during the day possibility to rest even on a very sunny day.

Voile for yachts

Voile is extremely necessary on a ship for protection against excessive sun during the day, as well as for intimacy during the day without completely obscuring the Decorative Curtains. On the other hand, Voile adds Elegance and Chick to the Interior of the Yacht. Depending on the Style of the Interior, the Voile can be made of Linen, Silk or Cotton. However, Silk is too delicate for the harsh sun without any additional protection like a lining, so it requires a different treatment.

For your safety, we recommend Curtains made of fire retardant Fabrics, even if the regulations do not require it.

Curtain rails for yacht

We install Curtains on Yachts on special aluminum Rails. Modern Rails are small enough to be hiden in the ceiling, making them invisible. The Curtains come directly from the ceiling slit, creating an extremely elegant effect in the cabin. This is a desirable effect, especially in Luxury Yachts.
